We process online orders Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays. Orders will normally ship within 1-2 business days of order placement. When your order is shipped, we'll send you an email confirmation. We'll also email you if something you ordered is backordered or out of stock. Orders placed between 1pm EST Friday thru midnight EST Sunday will be processed the following Monday.
We accept American Express, Visa and MasterCard. Sales tax will be charged when applicable. If the credit card cannot be verified as belonging to the person placing the order, the order will not be processed.

How to Place an Order
Placing an order with shopamethyst.com is easy. Simply follow these steps:
1. Add an item to your shopping bag by clicking "add item" on the item's product detail page. When you have finished shopping, click the "cart" button at the top of the page. You will be shown your basket for review. Click "proceed to check out."
2. On the login page new customers should click the "create account." Repeat customers should enter their email address in the "login" box and their password in the "password" box. Press "login".
3. Complete the next 3 steps by entering all required information. On step 4, you will be presented with all your order information. Click the "confirm" button to submit the order. You will know that your order has gone through when you receive the "thank you" page with your order number. If you have not received this page, please contact Customer Service at 301.907.6871. Please be advised that once an order is confirmed, you cannot make changes to the order online.

Every attempt will be made to process and ship your order the day it's received. We will email you when the order is shipped.
US Shipping Rates
All US orders are shipped via USPS and should be received within 7-10 business days after processing. Delivery time does not include Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. Saturday delivery is only available if prearranged with Customer Service.

Purchases from inventory may be exchanged for store credit within 30 days of purchase with invoice and return authorizatin code. Custom designs and special orders are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with merchandise you've ordered from shopamethyst.com, you can return any item without custom engraving in its original condition within 30 days of the date of shipment for a refund or an exchange.
Our Return Process
Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your store credit or exchange will be processed in just a few days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance department. Please note that items showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, altered, resized, or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns with no shopamethyst.com return authorization code, and packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused receipt.
How to Prepare a Return
To return a shopamethyst.com purchase, please follow our four step process:
Obtain Your Return Authorization Code: A Return Authorization (RA) number issued by shopamethyst.com must accompany all returns. To obtain an RA number, call Customer Service at 301.907.6871, or, click here to request one online. Fill out the RA form and include it in the package. If you don't have a form, include a note with your RA#, name, address, phone number, email address and reason for return. (Please note that being issued an RA number does not guarantee automatic approval/credit of your return. Items are still subject to inspection.). On the RA Form or in your return package, please indicate the reason for your return.
Package Your Return: Include all original packaging and collateral material. Merchandise must be in its original condition with all tags attached. We will not accept any merchandise that has been worn or tampered with in any way. For security reasons, please do not write shopamethyst.com anywhere on the outside of the box.
Insure Your Package: On your invoice, if the price of the item you're returning is listed as:
Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.*
More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail™, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached shopamethyst.com.* (FedEx® and UPS® will not insure merchandise over $500.)

We do not refund shipping charges.
We do not accept returns/exchanges for custom-made or special-order items, or for items that have been altered or tampered with in any way.
We are not responsible for damages that occur during care or wear of an item.
Tips on sending the perfect return package:
Send via UPS or insured parcel post for proof of delivery. If your return package is lost, we are not responsible for reimbursement or compensation for the lost merchandise.
No COD (Cash/Check on Delivery) packages will be accepted.
Remember to note your RA number on the package for proper and timely handling and processing.
Include a completed RA form with the merchandise. Otherwise processing will be delayed.
Package your return carefully, as we cannot return or exchange items that arrive damaged due to poor packaging.
Please be advised that items that do not conform to the above guidelines are not returnable. They will be returned to you at your expense. Your return will be processed within 2-3 days of its receipt. We will issue a refund to the credit card originally used for the purchase. You will receive an email notice when the credit has been issued.

Policy for Store Returns
Amethsty will provide an exchange or merchandise credit for product purchased at any of shopamethyst.com store locations within 7 days of the original purchase only. Exchanges or credits will be granted provided the merchandise has not been worn, altered, specially ordered, or purchased on special sale. Similarly, product purchased online at shopamethyst.com must be returned following the steps outlined above and cannot be returned to store level. Whenever merchandise is brought back to the store, it must be presented in its original box with all necessary paperwork, including sales invoice. Without an invoice, no exchange or credit will be issued.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is defective, damaged or incorrect, you must notify us via email within 5 business days of receiving the merchandise. Please keep the original box and packaging materials in the case of damage. We'll email you a UPS label for returning the merchandise. A replacement will be sent, if available, upon receipt - as long as it hasn't been used, worn or tampered with. All tags must remain attached and any collateral that accompanied the merchandise must be sent back with the product.
If you would like to exchange an item please email us or call 301.907.6871 to ensure that the new item is available. If we have the item, we will hold it for you until your return is received. We will only accept returns for exchange if they meet all criteria for an acceptable return (see above). Please make sure to note the exchange on the return form. We will ship the exchange to you at our expense (does not apply to future international orders).
All purchases are place in a lavender velvet drawstring jewelry pouch with the designer’s biography, where applicable. The pouch is placed in a white box with our logo and had tied with a shimmering purple or green ribbon. Additional gift wrapping in our signature green and purple colors is available upon request.
Featured items not in stock are considered Special Orders and cannot be returned for store credit.
We specialize in custom design services to cater to each individual’s creativity and unique sense of style. Many of our pieces can be adapted to create a specific look or express the unique style of our customers. All of our jewelry is handmade by a number of talented designers. As a result, each piece will vary slightly. As all gemstones are unique, the colors may vary making each piece of art unique in its own right.
Complimentary adjustments must be made within 30 days of purchase, providing the piece is in good condition. Adjustments that require additional materials may not be considered complimentary.
